We welcome all the aspirants to the portals of Kaibalya Daiyini College of Commerce and General Studies which is blessed with the lotus feet of Kaviguru Rabindranath during his holy abode in Midnapore in the year 1939. The College began its Journey on 10th August, 1961. From the date of its journey it was Commerce College but from the year 2007 it has been turned into K.D. College of Commerce and General Studies. This College is one of the best Commerce Colleges under Vidyasagar University and has been accredited B+ grade in 2017. The College boasts of continuous results of high excellence under the able guidance of renowned, well-qualified and dedicated teaching faculty. The institute always makes an earnest endeavor to give to the world sharp, sound and proficient intellectuals who can face the challenges of a rapidly changing world and contribute to the expansion of the world economy at large .All the innovative teaching aids are used by the teachers for effective teaching. Besides these, teachers are also actively involved in research works, remedial coaching, and tutorial and feedback for the upliftment of the students. The significance of our teaching and research lies in its high impact on societal enhancement. Besides providing quality education, great emphasis is laid on the eclectic personality development of our students. We believe that students and their parents are our most important stakeholders. I am delighted to appreciate and acknowledge the contribution of the faculty and staff  who take their metier with evangelistic zeal to enable the Institute to surge ahead.

At present the student strength of the College is 2300 around. We impart Honours in five subjects: Bengali, English, Geography, Accounting and Finance and Marketing Management. From 2018 Science stream with Computer Science subject has been opened .Apart from running the regular courses under Vidyasagar University, the college at present has opened the UGC sponsored Career Counseling Cell and Womens study centre. Recently we have certificate courses on Film and Media Studies, Computer Application, Communicative English and Computerised Industrial Accounting –considering the demand and unemployment in the society. Its significance and scope for the enthusiastic aspirants is immense. The Central Library of the institute has an impressive Collection of learning resources including books, journals and reference materials for all the students. To maintain the discipline we have developed some common facilities on the campus : Grivence Redressal Cell, Ant ragging Cell, Sexual Harassment Cell and student counseling centre. The College campus is constantly monitored by closed circuit television  (CCTV) for better safety and security.
